As part of this year’s AAPI Heritage Month celebration, the AAPI Poster Exhibition was successfully displayed at Morrisville Library, bringing student-created exhibits on Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) history to a new community audience.
This exhibition site was led by youth leader Vita Fu, who played a key role in communicating and coordinating with library staff throughout the planning process. Through her initiative, professionalism, and persistence, Morrisville Library became a new exhibition location for the AAPI Poster Exhibition program, expanding the reach of this youth-led educational initiative.
The exhibition was displayed at Morrisville Library throughout May 2026, providing library visitors with opportunities to learn about AAPI history, influential figures, cultural traditions, and contributions to American society through student-created posters.
Visitors shared positive feedback about the exhibition, describing the displays as “meaningful,” “educational,” and “beautifully presented.” The exhibition helped spark conversations about history, culture, and community while reaching families and visitors from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to successfully coordinating this year’s exhibition, Vita also worked closely with library staff to establish a strong partnership for the future. We are excited to share that Morrisville Library has expressed interest in continuing to host the exhibition next year, creating new opportunities for students to share their work with the broader community.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Morrisville Library staff for their support, encouragement, and collaboration. Their welcoming environment and commitment to community education helped make this exhibition a success.
Special thanks to Vita Fu for her leadership, communication, and dedication. Her efforts demonstrate how youth leaders can build meaningful community partnerships and help expand the impact of cultural education programs throughout the Triangle region.
