The AAPI Poster Exhibition was successfully showcased at Cary Academy for the first time in 2026, bringing Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) history, culture, and stories to students, faculty, and families across the school community.
This new exhibition site was initiated by student leaders Sunny Zhao and Leia, whose vision and dedication helped bring the program to Cary Academy. The exhibition was made possible through the collaboration of student leaders including Vita Fu, Andrew Zhong, and many other student volunteers who contributed to poster creation, planning, communication, setup, and community outreach.
Featuring student-created posters highlighting important historical events, influential figures, immigration stories, and the contributions of AAPI communities to American society, the exhibition provided meaningful opportunities for learning and reflection. Throughout the exhibition, many students and teachers stopped by to explore the displays, learn more about AAPI history, and engage in thoughtful conversations about cultural heritage and community contributions.
A special thank you to the Cary Academy administration, school leadership, AAPI Club advisor, faculty, and staff for their support and partnership. Their encouragement and commitment to cultural education helped create a welcoming space for learning, dialogue, and community connection.
